2006 Ford Focus C-Max engine smoke

Car: Ford Focus C-Max
Year: 2006
Variant: 1.8 Tdci
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I added 1 liter of oil about a week ago and went on a long drive of 150 miles a couple of days later.
4 days later, now, when the engine starts it begins to smoke. I cant find where the smoke is coming from, just seems to be generally smoking but from low down.
The smoke doesn't smell like oil burning, its grey and thin.
I have looked for leaks and splashes but cant find anything.
Any ideas?

Check breather hose / turbo hose for leaks or cracks .

you may have a diesel leak or a leaking injector seal which is likely to generate smoke and will generally get worse as the engine warms up
