2004 Ford Focus C-Max no warning lights showing but...

Car: Ford Focus C-Max
Year: 2004
Categories: Leaks & Noises
There is a terrible smell outside the car strongest points seem to be near font passenger wheel (new this year) or rear near exhaust. Smell also comes in to car via air conditioning when switched on. A few days before this smell started the Headlight bulbs were changed by Halford's staff.

Check if smell is coming from battery when engine has been running . An overcharging alternator can cause an acrid smell , if so test alternator output to verify .Could also make sure you haven't ran over any plastic bags and they are stuck / melted on exhaust .
