It is sometimes awkward to change down gears. Sometimes does not go into gear. It is ok changing up the gears.

Try adjusting the clutch cable if at all possible. Could be that the clutch is not disengaging fully..

As it's a hydraulic clutch , have you tried bleeding system ?

No problem , hard to keep track of whether car has a cable or hydraulic set up nowadays .Could have a look at clutch master cyl and check for any fluid leakage .
