1993 Ford Fiesta c.v.t transmission fault

my 1993 fiesta LA recently had the gearbox seals replaced when i reffitted the gearbox i topped up the fluid and went for a drive, the gearbox works fine in park,neutral,reverse and low, however, when drive is selected the gearbox remains in low gear and will not exceed 30 mph

are there any vaccuum pipes or electrical plugs disconnected ?

all the conections are o.k but there is a small (about 3mm diameter)metal pipe connector under neath the speedo drive connection that looks like a vacuum connection but the garage that fitted new seals to the gearbox says there is no vacuum connection on this gearbox

Sounds like gear selector cable incorrectly adjusted .
