1997 Ford Fiesta brake lights on all the time

The brake lights are on all the time. If they go out, as soon as I press the accelerator they come back on. I've already topped up the brake fluid as this was down to the min level but it didnt make any difference.
I had new discs and pads about 6 months ago and had this problem initially but it went away after a few days but has come back.
Any ideas?

you need to get down on floor of car behind your brake pedal is a switch spry wd40 on it and move brake p/ in and out 5 times this should fix it .

Brake pedal light switch, easy job to do.
