2002 Ford Fiesta steering wheel pulling

recently i noticed my steering wheel has been pulling to the left. I was driving my car tonight and heared a small noise like something fell off my car then the steering wheel started to pull severely to the left making my car veer. any ideas as to what is going on would be really helpful?

First thing to check is wheel nuts ,if ok , need to get it jacked up and check steering , suspension etc for wear / play .
