Exhaust Hair

I keep finding what I can only describe as similar to black horse hair hanging out of the exhaust pipe !?

Are exhausts lined with this and if so how serious a problem is this also how expensive to fix please.

YOUR EXHAUST BOIX IS BRAKING UP THE HAIR IS THE BAFFEL REPLACE THE BOX AS IT MAY BLOCK AND STOP THE ENGINE
