1999 Ford Fiesta alarm keeps going off

when i park up and lock the car (whether this be by fob or key in door . The alarm keeps going off (and it's not activated by weather conditions ). The only way i have found to stop this is to allow the car to sit un locked for a while and then go out and lock it. As you can see this is not the best solution.

A common fault / cause on the Fiesta is the micro switches on the door locks .
