2007 Ford Fiesta one brake light failure (or not?)

Car: Ford Fiesta
Year: 2007
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
I have a 57 reg Ford Fiesta and have noticed that the passenger side rear brake light has stopped working. (both the centre light and right brake light work fine and have no problems with indication lights either)

However, when I open the boot by pressing the keyfob, all rear brake lights flash and appear to work fine.

I'm confused as to why the light flashes upon opening the boot, but doesn't do so if braking.

Would this be something a garage should look at - i.e. would could be wrong in terms of faulty wiring or other?

Would really appreciate some help here - thank you

first of all check you have the right bulb fitted,ie single filament or twin filament, also check the bulb holder and the wiring plug have no signs or shorting or bare wires,

Could be wrong but is it not the indicators / side lights that come on ? Not the brake lights ?
