2000 Ford Fiesta have changed the oil and now the car has very little power and black smoke

Have change the oil in my car was running o.k then in the evening i was driving the car seemed ot have very little power even with the peddle right down. Sundden surges of power at time like a blockage or something then retreats back to very little power, tried to drive up hill but loads of black smoke started to come out had to drive in first gear flooring it the car started to quite very hot quickly.

sounds like you have a diesel pump problem but have the injectors checked out first and make sure that the diesel spill off pipes are not split these are the ones that link the injectors have these inspected and also check the oil level as you may have over filled it and you may have not but check it any way piece of mind
