Electrical problem with dashboard
2009 Ford Fiesta 1.3

when driving alarm alerts that the boot is open on checking it is not open.

the dash board indicates that the doors are open when they are not.

lights in foot well remain on after stopping and locking the car.

Replies and fixes

You may have two different faults . There could be a faulty boot lock / switch or the wiring at top of tailgate in rubber sheath may be damaged / broken . The door lights are operated by micro switches also which are part of the lock assembly and often stick causing this . Spraying WD into locks / linkage often cures this but really need taking off door trims to gain proper access.
