Hi
I am having intermittent issues with my automatic wipers not working. An error message comes up telling me wiper/headlights malfunction. My electric windows will then also not open or close.
I took to s garage last week and had new stalk, on diagnostic machine and rest the ecu, but still getting the problem and we are stumped! Now with automatic lights and wipers turned off the windows are now not doing anything intermittently.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as keep throwing money at it is adding up!

So you have had it scanned , stalk replaced and a ECU reset and still got the fault ? Was it a Ford dealership who carried out the scan and retrieved the fault codes ?

No it wasn't a ford garage but my local garage who have done my car for years. They worked on it for a day and a half and the boss spoke to his mate who works at ford.
Yes they done all you said. I've also changed the fuse for wipers.

Pity he cant get his mate to scan it with the Ford diagnostics which interrogates modules that ordinary scan tools dont cover and is more in depth in retrieving codes . May be your only route to solving it .

I will get that done! She's got her MOT Saturday, so will wait to see if anything else needs doing and get it done in one go.
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
