2005 Ford Fiesta engine surges

in all gears at all speeds then car seems to surge lacks power for a couple of seconds then picks up then surges again

When was car last serviced ? Could be anything from plugs , plug leads , fuel filter , air filter , MAF etc . etc . Scan it for fault codes
