2013 Ford Fiesta Zeneca S
Car: Ford Fiesta
Year: 2013
Variant: Zeneca S
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Had my car (still under warranty) in to the Ford dealer twice. The central locking, indicators and cut out system were intermittently faulty. They eventually identified the CPU as being at fault, a new one was ordered and fitted. After picking up the car and driving home it was apparent that the faults were still there and probably worse. Not only do the indicators flash on the dash when not in use but also when I apply pressure on the brakes. When I actually put the indicators on they do not stay on. The central locking has gone again but sometimes the alarm goes off when I open the unlocked car. Strange thing to say I know but it seems to be worse when the the outside temperature is hot. The Dealers only response is ' it was fine when we did a test drive''. I have insisted they look at it again but a bit concerned that my warranty runs out in September.

Take it back.
As you stated it's under warranty.
Whether it's runs out is not an issue,
the faults are there,
YOU take the car out with them and re-create the faults for them.
SPECIFICALLY the brake pedal creating nonsense,
If you brought it in to me with that tale that's where I'd be concentrating my search.
Sounds short circuit on the brake wires to me.
But don't worry about the warranty,
They have to fix it even if it take to next September God forbid.

On some of the Fords , under heavy braking the hazards come on .That may be an area to look at ? Make sure all the faults not yet fixed are logged on service / car history so can be pursued after warranty expiry date if needed .
