Heatin fan losing power when changing down gears.

2008 Ford Fiesta ST150
Car: Ford Fiesta
Year: 2008
Variant: ST150
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hello
When I slow down and change down through the gears, my heating fan loses power. The heating has also started not heating up once the engine is hot and only blows cold air but then kicks back in.
There is also a fan noise coming from the passenger side. I lifted the bonnet when running but could not hear anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Alastair

First thing to check would be coolant level .Noise could be rad coolant fan kicking in and out .Could also check heater coolant valve is operating and not in closed position cutting off water to matrix .Check also cabin filter which can restrict airflow if choked .

Just to add , there are other possible causes , but these are the simplest to check without getting too involved .If still having problems get back to forum and you will get further advice .
