i have a problem changing from second to third gear and back down again when iv been stuck in traffic dont know if its the clutch or gearbox or the cable any help appriciated

Well the first thing to try is an oil change.
If there's even any in it at all!!
But it has to be stated that your fault sound very like the 2nd 3rd gear syncro is worn out.

Hi you could try doubling the clutch. if it's the synchromesh unit this will get round the problem.
