1989 Ford Fiesta blower fuse keeps blowing on my fiesta

Variant: mkiii LX

Hello my lovly festa's blowers have stoppped working ( it makes a noise on heating setting three then blows straight away) Have changed the fuse, but just keeps blowing. i read it could be the heater resistor?
if it is ...but can't find it and when i do im not quiet sure where i can get a new one.
any help wod be so greatfull.

On some earlier models it was located under the carpet in the upper footwell in the n/s (passenger )side .

Thanks for your response but not on passenger side do you think it could be under the scuttle?
