2004 Ford Fiesta boot will not open

Variant: 1.4 Flame
The boot will not open with the key or the switch. The solenoid seems to be working fine so i am at a loss. It clicks when pressing the button but will not open.

It could be that your solenoid is not fully operational and not switching enough to open the boot,or the latch is faulty,or there is a wiring issue at the hinge ,look at these firstly.
