Fuel gauge not showing accurate reading

2001 Ford Fiesta 1.3 flight
Car: Ford Fiesta
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.3 flight
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
The fuel gauge on my Fiesta does not give a correct reading. It usually stands in the quarter tank full position. Any movement of the gauge up or down does not correspond with fuel added or used.
I've already had the sender unit on the fuel tank changed as well as the unit behind the dashboard. So far I've spent over £100 on these changes and both have made no difference
Any ideas?

Fuel gauges on older cars are not 100% accurate .A lot of cars showing empty can cover a good few miles before stopping .How far out is it ? You could take the tank unit out and make sure the float unit is free , also test whilst out .
