Very sensetive clutch

Hello. My clutch seems to be very sensetive as in when it is pushed right down the engine stalls. The only way I can stop this happening is by revving the engine and keeping the clutch slighty more raised but in my thinking is that this is only wasting fuel. Any ideas?

have the rachet and pull checked its built in to the clutch pedal and a known problem this adjusts the clutch bite
