2011 Ford Fiesta intermittant clicking noise

for no apparant reason a loud clicking noise seems to be from front nearside.the clicks are consitant with wheel speed.the clicks stop & start for no apparant reason.i have inspected areas with wheels off rotated on jack, tried bracking,hard &soft,turning,fast& slow. most irritating.anybody any clues???

Check for any stones in the tread or possibly the drive shaft joint...
