1996 Ford Fiesta wont take water

Hi my car wont take water it just keeps boiling it and the temperature gauge just goes up slowly until i put the fan on as it doesnt seem to kick in any ideas?

if the water is boiling then that would point to the headgasket needs replacing so get the car to you nearest garage for a headgasket test
