1994 Ford Fiesta 1.3 lx
Car: Ford Fiesta
Year: 1994
Variant: 1.3 lx
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Just got my car back from garage after failing its MOT, here is the list.

All of it is corrosion basically.

001 nearside front seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded (5.1.b.6)

002 nearside rear side belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded
(5.1.b.6)

003 offside rear seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded
(5.1.b.6)

004 steering system excessively tight (2.2.d.1e)

005 Nearside front suspension arm rubber bush deterioted in excesve movement (2.4.g.3)

006 Nearside front brake pipe excessively corroded (3.6.b.2c)

007 offside front brake pipe excessively corroded (3.6.b.2c)

008 nearside rear brake pipe excessively corroded (3.6.b.2c)

009 (two offside rear) brake pipe excessively corroded 3.6.b.2c)

How much do you think that would cost?

* My friend is a mechanic who said he could sort my brake pipes out aslong as i get the pipe - how much would that cost also?

well the brake pipe is about £6 per roll and the unions are about 60p each the suspension arm bush would be about £6 but you have to remove the arm to replace it so you would benefit by just replacing the arm completely which costs £10 as for the corrossion clean it up and treat it with rust remedy but if the corrossion has gone to far then you will require welding to put it right so cost of that couldnt say with out seeing the extent of the corrossion hope this helps
