Hi all im new on here.
My mums escort jumpd the timing and over heated, happy days.
Now i have had the head skimed and valvez replaced and timing set up. i have found that the cooling fan isnt comming on.
I have tried bridging the wireson the fan switch with no luck, i even tried taking the switch out and diped it in boiling water with no luck
so i striped the fan off and ran a direct live and earth to the live and earth on the fan and it worked.
Also the fan is not comming on when you turn on the air con.
im getting a fan switch in the morning so hers hoping. any ideas as to why i cannot bridge the fan switch? It has 4 wires.and they are all purple i think 2 of thm have blue stripes on them.
Thanks,Stevo

THere is a fuse and relay. Are these ok? There may not be power to the sensore if the relay is not working.
