i drive an r reg ford escort 18td that point blank will not start without a push first start every day, it turns over but doesnt start until we bump it, have had battery and alternater checked they are fine and so far replaced glow plugs, air filter, fuel filter and hand primer and still it wont start any one have any idea???? it really is getting me down having a car that wont start every day

Have you checked and tested the starter motor?

yep starter fine too about to fit a non return valve?

hi,not sure if this will help or not but i had the same sort of thing with my orion,turned out the internal fuse box had been on the blink,its a main dealer part only, costing £270,but i got one from a breaker for £40??done the job.you should be able to fit it yourself with a bit of common sense.hope this helps
