Hi hope you can help my escort has recently started to rev itself up then down etc when at lights or a junction and occasionally cuts out but does restart straight away any ideas been told it could be an air flow valve problem ??? what do you think?

IACV idle air control valve dirty/sludge remove clean may need a new gasget ,cant tell you the exact location because ford tene to move the location but will be on inlet manifold google iacv to see what they look like
