1994 Ford Escort power steering not working

The power steering on the car isn't working and i am finding it impossible to turn corners. I also found there is a leak somewhere in the power steering system as i am constantly running out of power steering fluid these two problems i think are related. Would u be able to tell me whether i need to find where the leak is and replace the pipe or the whole system needs replacing?

firstly take the car to the garage that you trust and have them look to see where the leak is and then replace just what is required rather than replacing all as that would be costly
