1997 Ford Escort misfire/lack of power

have a 1997 escort gti,the problem is the car sometimes misfires/chugging at around 60-70mph.also the car sometimes feels like there is a lack of power when i accelerate.another problem is high revving.all the these problems are intermittent and sometimes the car runs quite well.i have changed the plugs,h.t leads ,coil pack ,maf sensor,idle speed control valve but with no success.this is doing my head in.any ideas PLEASE

you have replaced just about all i would have said apart from the lamba sensor which sends the info back to the ecu from the exhaust and the ecu then ajusts the fuel accordinly hope this helps
