1991 Ford Escort wont start

Car: Ford Escort
Year: 1991
Variant: 1.6 cabriolet
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
You'll love this one.
For the passed year nearly every winter, my car will not start, even if you try and jump start her.
I put the immobiliser key in and turn the ignition key and nothing, all dash board lights come on and you can hear the fuel pump kick in, but thats it.
I can be sitting there for 2 - 3 hours before she decides she wants to go.
I have had a new starter motor and the aa has stripped her still nothing.
she is now getting worse and i can be stranded any where.
i have also had the fuse back covered just in case of dampness. Any ideas please as now im desperate to sort this out.
thanks

I have a good heavey duty battery, new plugs, and alternater in good working order.
All these have been tested.
when I go to my garage in the morning it just will not fire up it takes just a few turns to run my battert flat.
Any solutions will be apreciated

Thanking you in advance
