Booming noise with rear windows open at 50mph +

the rear windows were lowered as it was a hot day as we got upto 50mph there was a booming noise which got that bad it hurt our ears and we had to shut the windows.

Yes we have had that with our ford focus. Nothing we can do unfortunately

Its all about vacuum and air pressure as it passes the window it is causing a pressure drop inside the car and making a noise.

Its no fault apart from the how the car is made and the aerodynamics
