my eobd says its an engine problem, what id like to know is what it is and is it going to be expensive? When i turn car on it starts but the words "engine fault" appear, it is blowing out smoke from the exhaust and making a tinny noise like it wants to cut out,

the ecu should hold a code to tell you wots wrong read codes to find out most garages have code readers
