Engine misfire intermittently

2010 Fiat Panda 1.1 eco active petrol
Car: Fiat Panda
Year: 2010
Variant: 1.1 eco active petrol
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
(1) sometimes engine runs fine
most misfire occurs when engine warms up.
engine management comes on, and stays on
sometime no light at all.
replaced plugs recently , without improvement
been thinking of replacing coil packs
and investing in EOBDII--how easy are they to use

Problem added: Feb 6, 2015 (9 years ago)
These are prone to coil pack failure,
and a new pack "sometimes" fixes it,
But often the failed coil pack can damage the ECU,
Only way to know is by fitting a new coil and seeing "IF" the same miss fire code returns,
A sure sign the ECU has gone too.
So some form of scanner would be of use to you.
They are easy enough to use,
Understanding what the show really does take an understanding of the vehicle systems.
Miss understanding leads to costly parts not needed .
Codes must be treated as a GUIDE,
Not as instructions to replace anything.

An old scanner pointed the fault to injector 2. This was replaced. No change.still misfiring intermittently. When it is not sodding about. The engine runs great, pulls really well and silently. The next option is to change a coil pack. And take it from there. I shall keep you posted.
Thanks for the lead.

Did you solve the miss fire issue & if so what was the solution? I have the same issue and same fault code, injector 2, but the injector is fine.
