I have a Fiat Marea Weekender,1.9 turbo diesel. it was running ok until, starter went, replaced it, alternator went, replaced it. now when the car is running it goes great until it heats up, with the tempeture guage up to half way the rev counter stops working and there is a really bad rattle noise and needs plenty revs to run, any suggestions ? thanks, Stuart

could be a wiring fault but check engine speed sensor . the clatter sounds like the advance solenoid is being activated probably due to loss of engine speed
