2003 Ferrari 575 hand brake not holding the car in a parked position and/or self disengaging?? any tips..

Car: Ferrari 575
Year: 2003
Variant: Maranello
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Hand brake not doing it's job of holding car in a parked position when on a small decline or incline.
Also, noticed brake lever has jumped out of it's locked position.
You walk away from car showing hand brake light is on but car can still move from parked position so I assume the the hand brake is unable to hold the car in a parked position?

You could try adjusting the rear h/brake shoes until they bind slightly then back off till wheel turns freely. Then adjust the handbrake cable. But ideally should strip down and check condition of shoes and cables
