2001 Daewoo Matiz hatch lock jammed

The remote release fails to operate as does turning the key. The rear panel has been removed and efforts to open the catch by pressing down have failed.

If you have rear panel off , can you not move linkage / lock mechanism by hand to open ?

Thanks. Done all that, even with someone outside on the key and me on the inside with a mole grip trying to shift the catch. Local dealer said release fixing bolts with small spanner, but bolt are not hex head bolts! Need to view another model to establish fixing.
