2000 Daewoo Matiz engine management light

My engine management light stays on for a couple of weeks then goes off for a couple of days, then comes back on again. Took it to garage who used diagnostic computer and they switched the fault off. The problem still remains. Any ideas? Other than that the car is great.

Might be worthwhile going back to garage and ask them why the light was coming on in the first place and if any codes were stored .
