2001 Daewoo Matiz coolant consuption high

I'm facing a problem on coolant. When car is running, on dashboard "check" symbol blinks. When I see the coolant box, coolant got consumed for 200-250 kms run.Sometimes car stops all of a sudden and engine get overheat. How to rectify this problem plz suggest and also approximate cost.

If you are losing coolant and cant see where it is leaking from , a pressure test should show up any external leaks . If that does not show up fault there are other possible causes , like sticking thermostat ,choked rad. etc.etc.But first step would be to check for leak. Impossible to estimate till you find out what is needing replaced / repaired.

Thank you for your reply.
I got my car repaired. There was a small hole in the Aluminium Elbow due to corrosion. Mechanic replaced Elbow and all hoses to fix it.
Now its working fine..
If you suggest me how to incerese the milage of the car, it will be greatful..
