On a recent long journey the car lost power with engine warning light coming on. On inspection found no 1 spark plug damp after removal all others ok. Swapped leads round and plugs still no 1 wet. The car has euro 3 ignition system, so has no dristributor and has sensors everywhere whicmh I have cleaned up.Have tried an ignition coil off another car with no improvement. Money tight at the moment so dont want to go to a garage. any ides

when you say wet... wet with fuel or wet with coolant?

Its wet from unburnt fuel.

Ive finally sorted this problem out myself,it was a blogged injector. They are £70 each to buy! To avoid this expense I took them all out , fairly easy 2 bolts hold the rack and fuel line is just clikpped in. Took out each injector and soaked them in STP injector cleaner (neat), £4.99 a bottle. I left them in it for a week, as i did it over 2 weekends. Put it all back together started it ,ran a bit lumpy but soon cleared and warning light went out.Goodluck.
