2001 Daewoo Matiz starting and engine noise

Car: Daewoo Matiz
Year: 2001
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
bought a second hand matiz. had done 67000 km. ran fine for about 3 months then problems started. first didnt start. one workshop changed the timing belt, clutch and compression plates, and some bearings (dunno the names). few days later, the engine began to make some noise like metal scraping on metal. [u]however noise disappears when i push the clutch pedal[/]. visited different workshops, all say different things. and the starting problem still persists. what to do??

sounds like a fault with clutch release bearing or gearbox, i would go back to the garage that fiited the clutch and complain, changing garages is good but always go with recommendations
