2000 Citroen Xsara starting when warm

When I start my Car when warm. I find it difficult to start and when it does Start it appears to only run on a couple of cylinders. When it clears the Engine seems to race for a few minutes. Then It will take a few moments for the revs to settle.

could be a coolant thermistor fault or possibly a dribbling injector. does it start ok from cold?
