1998 Citroen Xsara car wont start

this is a bit of an odd 1 when the car is cold it starts on the button no probs at all but if u stop the turn it off it wont start at all it just pumps petrol out the exhaust it is allmost like it floods it,s self and wont start again untill it clears so was woundring if any1 has come across this b4 many thanks

Could check engine coolant temp sensor , if faulty it sends wrong info to ECU re.fuel etc .
