Cannot get gears

Very worrying, suddenly
the car does not get any gears just stuck in 3rd. Gear handle is suddenly gone very lose, if I shift gears to another does not get any other gear, cluch is perfect but the car does not get any other gear and the handle gone very very lose help!!!.??

Usually caused by wear on gear linkage , shift cables You can get repair kits on e bay
