2000 Citroen Xsara front winscreen washer not working

My front windscreed washer has stopped working. Pull on the lever and water comes out onto the rear winscreen. I can hear the motor working but nothing is happening. I suspect it has become gunked up somewhere - any suggestions how to fix it? Thanks in advance for any help.

pull the pipe off under the bonnet near the washer jets and see does the water then come out the jets might be just blocked if not you will have to get to the pump mounted in the washer bottle to check it
