Engine Misfiring & Car Consuming Too Much Fuel

2001 Citroen Xsara 2.0litre VTS
Car: Citroen Xsara
Year: 2001
Variant: 2.0litre VTS
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The Car used to do 12-13km a litre, now its doing 5-6km per litre. I have tried to put in new plugs but they have failed- on two occasions and have to put back the old ones.

I have put in another set of coils-but still the misfiring problem is not going away. When the engine is cool, car drive fine, once its heated/hot..it starts cutting .

I need help

What do you mean by " put in new plugs in but they failed " ?

You need to get the car scanned for faults and stop guessing.

The New Bosch Plugs which were recommended were put in...but the misfiring got worse.

Error message when scanned just read 1 or more Cylinders Misfiring...it didnt pinpoint which one.

Another error message that came up was Oxygen Sensor...we replaced both top and bottom sensors still no difference.

Your costing yourself money!
Without scanning and a live data feed it still seems clear the fuel air mixture is way off.
Witnessed by the o2 sensors readings,
Which implies there was bugger all wrong with the two sensors.
Live data read will tell if the air fuel mixture is rich or lean,
Either of which will give miss fire.
You have to go to a diagnostics mechanic,
Or you can keep buying and fitting unneeded parts in the hope......
