suddenly had a warning to turn on impactsensor, every time I go to start the car I get that signal and the hazard lights start flashing, switch them off and its fine till I stop the car I get that signal for 60 seconds . when I restart the car I get the hazards on again. is there a way to reset the impact sensor

" Look under bonnet -impact sensor on left with red rubber on top. Press rubber button with keys not in ignition - should re-arm -if not remove red cap and check that when pressing to re-set the mechanism is fully pushed down. "

on that age of vehicle the sensor could be part of the bm34 so unable to reset
