When the front left door is shut it keeps saying on the computer dash that its still open and keeps beeping to tell me this.but goes off if I lock it from the inside while driving it otherwise it would drive me mad.and when I get out and try to lock it it won't lock as the central locking thinks the door is still open its driving me nuts trying to work it out.any advice would be good.thanks

Sounds like faulty sensor .Not sure if part of door lock or seperate contact / switch .

Can't see any sensors on the door which makes me think they could be in the lock/catch of the door if any sensors at all.not sure if they have any.but thinking that you would have thought so as it keeps telling me its still open.

Think it,s part of your lock unit a micro switch.

Hi

dont know if this helps but definitly sounds like the contact switch, i have had a citreon before and the contact was made via the switch which was in the door frame at the hinge side of the car, good look.

Thank for your advice got it sorted.I am so pleased.I just moved the catch that the lock catches on to when you shut the door and there you go.glad I didn't take the garage choice as it would have cost quite a few pennies.
