2002 Citroen Xsara screen wash stays on

The screen wash fuse blew(or so i thought)the screenwash kept running and emptied the entire bottle all over the front of the car and then kept running even when the reservoir was empty.
so i went to change it, it's happened a couple of times before and a change of fuse always fixed it.
This time when i tried to put the new fuse in the screenwasher started without needing to touch the switch.
I have taken the battery off incase there was a relay stuck but this didnt stop the issue.
So anyone any idea how i can get it to stop or what could be causing this.
Or even where the relays are so I can check those, cause i cant find them.
When you try to insert the new fuse into the fuse box you can hear a click and then the screenwash starts.

Seems like faulty switch .

You could try disconnecting the switch and see if that stop,s the pump running when the fuse is re-fitted.

not sure if pump is permanent live and operating switch earths the motor so before replacing switch check wireing to pump for any damage
