2003 Citroen Xsara changed battery now nothing at all

changed battery then put ignition on but got nothing no ignition lights not a sausage dead as a parrot , have been told the imobiliser has imobilised the car , how do you reprogramme the flameing thing

You should have ignition lights , side lights etc. even if immobiliser had failed .Sure battery and connections are o.k ?

Now have everything working but imobiliser light stays on and wont start turns over fine no problem has petrol in it etc but not going , how do you reprogramme imobiliser , think its more than likely why it wont start .
