1999 Citroen Xsara clutch

I cannot separate the gearbox from the engine because its semms to be "hanging" on something inside. Any idea what it could be ?

It would seem from the txt below that you have to get the box dead square to engine and some kind of hoist is useful to take weight.
The paragraph below was taken from the following link

"Decent stud remover required to remove the gearbox mounting stud on the top of the box
It's much easier with an overhead lift of some sort to support the box - must be damn near impossible to get the box in / out and remounted on jacks".

Make sure you have removed all the bolt,s it,s probably just stuck on the dowels.a good lever should remove it.

^x2 though had the odd one or two on different cars where the flywheel bearing / bush came out with the spigot shaft .
