2000 Citroen Xsara earth

Hi, I have a problem with the centeral brake lights not working and the rear wiper not functioning as it should. I am trying to locate the rear earth point which I understand to be in the offside rear. How do I gain access to this point please?

Check for damaged / broken wiring where it passes through into top of tailgate .

Hi Thanks for your reply, I have already checked this area. I am wondering if it has something to do with a bad earth or relay? Also, the stop lamps ( in the middle of tailgate) do not work! Any thouhghts would be most welcome. In the meantime A Merry Christmas to all. Jon
